March Madness 2009 in Las Vegas

Last year a couple of friends and I spent the first week of NCAA March Madness in Las Vegas. What a great decision that was!
The vibe is truly amazing. We arrived and checked-in to our room at The Bellagio. It isn’t the coolest hotel on the strip, but the location can’t get better, the buffet is second to none and you really do feel like Clooney and Pitt when you stand in front of the fountains.
The first week of March Madness is the best week to go because there is a lot of money to be made. The parlay’s cannot be beat. Yes, North Carolina is going to beat the spread against a cellar-dweller in the first round. Pick three and count it as a done deal. The Samba Brazilian steakhouse in The Mirage is outstanding for dinner.
Follow that up with a VIP table at OPM in Caesar’s Palace and you are on your way. A drink or two at The Hard Rock is an absolute must for the boys after a day spent watching the boards at the Bellagio sports bar.
This year’s games begin March 17th, 2009. Book your ticket now. I highly recommend it.
