This is great stuff! I actually got an upgrade because I happened to be in the smoker's lounge with a pilot. Being the curious Georgette that I am, I asked him some questions about flying big planes. We had a really nice chat. Before he left, he asked me where I was headed, and I told him. He said he was piloting that plane. When I sat down to wait for boarding, I saw him point me out to one of the desk agents before he went out to the plane. She came over and handed me a first-class ticket for the flight. I was stunned and surprised. My motto - it pays be curious and kind, cause you just never know.
