Curious George Comes Alive
Ever want to snuggle up with your favorite storybook character from childhood? And I don’t mean the one with the big ears who lives in Florida…and California, and France, etc etc…
If you or your kids are fans of Curious George, head to Waterville Valley Resort in New Hampshire’s White Mountains. There you’ll find the Curious George Cottage, which once served as the home of Margret and H.A Rey, who created one of the world’s favorite literary monkeys. And on July 25th, the Curious George Cottage will dedicate the Rey Center’s new Visitor Center in the Town Square.

At the Visitor Center, both parents and kids can explore a variety of activities, from drawing in the style of H.A. Rey, reading favorite Rey stories, and watching a few episodes from the Curious George cartoon series.
And if you can’t make it to the opening of the Visitor Center, the Third Annual Curious George Cottage Family Festival will be held the weekend of August 7th through the 9th this year. Festivities include a fireman’s BBQ lunch, a photo opportunity with the monkey himself, a traveling barnyard, live music, face painting, and story time, along with a Curious George souvenir. Especially-diehard Curious George fans won’t want to miss the banana pancake breakfast or the spaghetti dinner.
