Be The First On Your Block! Round Two
To continue with my list of unusual hotel amenities…
- Pillow Talk: The Inn & Spa at East Wind in Long Island, New York offers a Pillow Menu, though they don’t necessarily sound like something you’d rest your head on: Choose from Double Core, Convoluted, Magnetic Therapy, and Swedish Memory.
- Room Service: The Gaylord Hotel group with properties in Nashville, Dallas, Kissimmee and National Harbor, offers a VIP Welcome package that may backfire on them, given that you may not need to frequent room service or their restaurants for the duration of your stay. First, there’s a breadmaker en-suite timed so there’s a loaf of hot bread waiting for you upon your arrival. Other offerings include smoked salmon lollipops (!), an old-fashioned candy shoppe, and hand-dipped chocolate-covered strawberries.
- I Leave My Christmas Lights On My Front Porch On All Year Long: The Inn at Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, offers a Santa sing-along every Saturday night of the year, complete with freshly baked cookies and cold milk.
- May The Slime Be With You: Get slimed at the Nickelodeon Family Suites in Orlando. Everyday at 4:45 p.m. at the hotel waterpark, a tank dumps 400 glorious gallons of green slime on anyone who’s game. Afterward, dive into the pools or head for the flumes and slides to rinse off.
